IAMPE CONGRATULATES RECENT TAMPA MPM AND MPE GRADUATES

The International Association of Maritime and Port Executives (IAMPE) is pleased to announce its latest class of Maritime Port Managers (MPM) and Maritime Port Executives (MPE), who completed their certifications in Tampa, FL, USA the week of February 3-7,2025. Teaching the week-long program was Capt. Jeffrey Monroe, MM, AMPE, along with several sessions taught by Mark Dubina, AMPE, CFE and featured guest speaker Paul Anderson. The course was hosted at Port Tampa Bay, which is an education and training center partner of the IAMPE and covered an in-depth overview of port management, current maritime issues, and real-world case studies.

 

Earning the Maritime Port Manager was Doug Barry, MPM – Senior Engineering Project Manager, Port Tampa Bay; Nick Depin, MPM – Professional Engineer II, Port Tampa Bay; and Phillip Lawson, MPM - Director of Finance, Port Tampa Bay. Graduates of the MPE program received graduate-level academic and continuing education credits from the IAMPE’s Academic Partners which includes Maine Maritime Academy, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, State University of New York Maritime College, Texas Southern University, The University of Memphis, and the Australian Maritime College. Earning the Maritime Port Executive (MPE) was Thomas Hobbs, MPE – Chief of Staff, Port Tampa Bay; Christian Miura, MPE – Sr. Manager Operations, Safety, Training, Port Tampa Bay; Micah Bonner, MPE – Cruise Operations Manager, Port Tampa Bay; Andre Batoon, MPE – Operations Wharfinger & Scheduler, Port Tampa Bay; Matt Thompson, MPE – Vice President of Operations, Port Tampa Bay; Ken Tran, MPE – Compliance Officer, Port Tampa Bay; Carlos Gomez, MPE – Port Security Captain, Port Tampa Bay; CDR Stefanie Hodgdon, MPE – Chief, Prevention Department, USCG; LCDR Ryan Junod, MPE – Chief, Waterways Management, USCG; Fabricio Yumiguano, MPE – Terminal Manager, New Bedford Foss Marine Terminal; Jerry Scott, MPE – State Seaport Program Coordinator, FLDOT; Ethan Murray, MPE – Port Worker – Pease Development Authority; and Madeline Jones, MPE – Planner, HNTB Corporation. The IAMPE is a non-profit industry association that provides professional development and certification for professionals at every level of their careers working in and around the maritime port industry. Programs are reviewed and approved for certification by the IAMPE’s Board of Advisors, comprised of 19 industry professionals. The Association offers professional and accredited programs in Coastal and Inland Port Management and Executive Management, as well as certification programs for Marine Terminal Operator and IMDG/Hazardous Awareness.
