IAMPE CONGRATULATES RECENT NEW ORLEANS MPM AND MPE GRADUATES

The International Association of Maritime and Port Executives (IAMPE) is pleased to announce its latest class of Maritime Port Managers (MPM) and Maritime Port Executives (MPE), who completed their certifications in New Orleans, LA, USA the week of March 24-28,2025. Teaching the week-long program was Dale Murray, AMPE. The class was held at the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad Administration building and hosted by the Port of New Orleans, which is an education and training partner of the IAMPE. The program covered an in-depth overview of port management, current maritime issues, and real-world case studies.

 

Earning the Maritime Port Manager was James Moody, MPM – Commissioner, Mississippi State Port Authority at Gulfport. Graduates of the MPE program received graduate-level academic and continuing education credits from the IAMPE’s Academic Partners which includes Maine Maritime Academy, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, State University of New York Maritime College, Texas Southern University, The University of South Alabama, University of Tennessee, Knoxville - Haslam College of Business, and the Australian Maritime College. Earning the Maritime Port Executive (MPE) was Jalen Brown, MPE – Director of Port Security and Vessels, Louisiana Gateway Port; Brian Cox, MPE – Chief Operating Officer, Port of South Louisiana; Tamara Kennedy, MPE – Chief of Staff, Port of South Louisiana; LCDR Lloyd W. Heflin, MPE – Maritime Safety and Security Team New Orleans, USCG; Jeremy Rogers, MPE – Operations Manager, Jackson County Port Authority – Port of Pascagoula; Emily Federer, MPE – Manager of Sustainable Development, Port of New Orleans; Patrick Noble, MPE – Port Manager C, Port of New Orleans; Elizabeth Gondek, MPE – Marine Terminal Manager 2, Port of New Orleans; Stacey Schexnayder, MPE – Director of Communications, Marketing, and Community Engagement, Port of New Orleans; Michael Sulser, MPE – Engineer 6, Port of New Orleans; Adam Gulino, MPE – Engineer 7, Port of New Orleans; and Jonathan Baham, MPE – Marine Terminal Manager 2, Port of New Orleans.

The IAMPE is a non-profit industry association that provides professional development and certification for professionals at every level of their careers working in and around the maritime port industry. Programs are reviewed and approved for certification by the IAMPE’s Board of Advisors, comprised of 19 industry professionals. The Association offers professional and accredited programs in Coastal and Inland Port Management and Executive Management, as well as certification programs for Marine Terminal Operator and IMDG/Hazardous Awareness.
