IAMPE CONGRATULATES RECENT MARITIME EXECUTIVE GRADUATES


Port of Longview 2023 MPM/ MPE class

The International Association of Maritime and Port Executives (IAMPE) is pleased to announce its latest class of Maritime Port Executives (MPE), who completed certifications hosted at The Port of Longview in Longview, Washington. The course was held October 9- 13 and taught by faculty member Steve Ribuffo, AMPE, CME. Graduates of the program also received graduate-level academic and continuing education credits by the IAMPE’s Academic partners which includes Maine Maritime Academy, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, State University of New York Maritime College, Texas Southern University, The University of Memphis, and the Australian Maritime College. Earning their Maritime Port Manager (MPM) certificates were Karl Enyeart, MPM -Port of Longview and Sean Kelly, MPM - Environmental Technician, Port of Longview. The Maritime Port Executive (MPE) certification was awarded to Michael Krug, MPE – Import Terminal Manager, Ash Grove Cement; Eric Yakovich, MPE – Director of Economic Development, Port of Kalama; Gabe Villanueva, MPE – Manager, Marine Security & Operations, Port of Portland; Steve Torres, MPE – Marine Security Manager, Port of Portland; Gerrel Traboulay, MPE Manager, Health, Safety & Environmental, PLIPDECO; Jennifer McAninch, MPE – Executive Assistant, Port of Longview; Mark Price, MPE – Director of Marine Terminals, Port of Longview; Lisa Hendriksen, MPE – Director of Planning and Environmental Services, Port of Longview; Beatrice Bremer Lucas, MPE – Attorney, Miller Nash LLP, Port of Longview – Port of Longview; Dr. Dion Honore, MPE – Assistant Terminal Operations Supervisor, PLIPDECO; and Michael G. Simonson, MPE – Operations Supervisor / MT Manager, Port of Port Angeles. Earning the Accredited Maritime Port Executive certification was Dwayne Atwood, AMPE – Seward Port Manager, Alaska Railroad.

The IAMPE is a non-profit industry association that provides professional development for port/ terminal maritime managers and executives, as well as certification for operational personnel worldwide. Programs are reviewed and approved for certification by the IAMPE’s Board of Advisors, comprised of 20 industry professionals. The Association offers professional and accredited programs in Coastal and Inland Port Management and Executive Management, as well as certification programs for Marine Terminal Operator and IMDG/Hazardous Awareness. The Association has over 2,600 alumni worldwide and is the only industry association offering professional certification to port managers worldwide.
