IAMPE CONGRATULATES RECENT EVERETT MARITIME PORT EXECUTIVE GRADUATES
The International Association of Maritime and Port Executives (IAMPE) is pleased to announce its latest class of Maritime Port Executives (MPE), who completed their certifications in Everett, WA, USA the week of 9-13 September 2024. Teaching the week-long program was Steve Ribuffo, AMPE, CME. The course was hosted at the Port of Everett and covered an in-depth overview of port management, current maritime issues, and real-world case studies.
Graduates of the MPE program received graduate-level academic and continuing education credits from the IAMPE’s Academic Partners which includes Maine Maritime Academy, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, State University of New York Maritime College, Texas Southern University, The University of Memphis, and the Australian Maritime College. Earning the Maritime Port Executive (MPE) was Cara Craig, MPE – Director of Trade Development, Port of Everett; David Schmidt, MPE – Dock Superintendent, Port of Everett; Elise Gronewald, MPE – Project Manager, Port of Everett; Catherine Soper, MPE – Director of External Affairs and Business Development, Port of Everett; Monique Liard, MPE – Chief Administrative and Finance Officer, Port of Everett; Adam LeMieux, MPE – Government Affairs Manager; CDR Nathaniel F. Sargent, MPE – Sector Boston – Chief of Response, USCG; and Greg Speer, MPE – Management and Program Analyst, Office of Waterways & Ocean Policy, USCG. Congratulations to the newest class of Maritime Port Executive graduates.

The IAMPE is a non-profit industry association that provides professional development and certification for professionals at every level of their careers working in and around the maritime port industry. Programs are reviewed and approved for certification by the IAMPE’s Board of Advisors, comprised of 19 industry professionals. The Association offers professional and accredited programs in Coastal and Inland Port Management and Executive Management, as well as certification programs for Marine Terminal Operator and IMDG/Hazardous Awareness.
