IAMPE DELIVERS SERMINAR TO BROWN-WATER EXEC'S
The International Association of Maritime and Port Executives (IAMPE) is pleased to announce the success of the Commissioner’s and Board Members Seminar at the Inland Rivers, Ports, and Terminals’ 2017 Annual Conference. This seminar was a 4-hour program focused on the current trends of the brown-water and global transportation industries and the duties and responsibilities of port commissioners, board members, and their staff. The program included a forum-style segment where attendees could confidentially discuss issues related to the industry.
The program was designed and presented by Capt. Jeffrey Monroe, MM, AMPE. Captain Monroe is the IAMPE’s Director of Education and Training and is the Senior Maritime and Port Management Consultant of the HDR and Portland offices.
Attendees of the program received four (4) continuing education credit hours towards IAMPE programs. The list of attendees for the Commissioner’s and Board Members Seminar include: Kevin Ehrenreich of Krech Ojard & Associates; Jimmy Yeager of the Rosedale-Bolivar County Port Commission; Jon Strong of Robert Miller & Associates; Matt Smolek of Watco, and Ken Reeder of the Port of St. Joseph.
The IAMPE would like to extend its congratulations to Anthony Hauer, AMPE, the Executive Director of Natchez-Adams County Port Commission.
